Shemer’s practice is focused on M&A, private equity and venture capital, technology and commercial law.
Prior to joining Epstein Rosenblum Maoz (ERM), Shemer worked at the corporate department of Golenbock Eiseman Assor Bell & Peskoe LLP in New York, where he advised private equity funds, private and public corporations, limited liability companies and individuals in a wide range of corporate matters, including in connection with mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, venture capital and cross-border transactions.
Among other transactions, Shemer has advised a buyer in relation to the acquisition of the assets of the market leader in the US in alumni and member affinity directories; a technology company in connection with its merger with SandDisk Corp; a major multinational manufacturer on the acquisition of an office equipment dealer; and the buyer in relation to five acquisitions publishing businesses.
Shemer also regularly advises Israeli and US based entrepreneurs and businesses on their governance and shareholder relations, employment and general commercial matters, technology licensing agreements, US real estate commercial leases and the formation and operation of joint ventures, limited liability companies and partnerships.
Shemer has a bachelor degree in law (LLB) from the Bar-Ilan University (cum laude) and a master degree in law (LLM) from the Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
Shemer is licensed to practice in Israel and the State of New York.
