Simon's practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, high-tech and venture capital work.
Prior to joining Epstein Rosenblum Maoz (ERM), Simon worked in the international corporate team of Gross, Kleinhendler, Hodak, Halevy Greenberg & Co (GKH), where he founded and headed the firms UK Practice Group. Prior to moving to Israel Simon worked at the London offices of Halliwells LLP and Dechert LLP.
Simon regularly advises Israeli and foreign clients on their local and international transactions, as well as London Stock Exchange and AIM-listed companies in relation to various securities and company law issues.
Simon has acted on some of the most high profile mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions in Israel in recent years, including the sale of medical device start-up Ventor Technologies Ltd, to Medtronic Inc for approximately $330 million, and the acquisition of Qumranet by Red Hat Inc for approximately US$115 million.
Simon has extensive knowledge and experience of the London Stock Exchange main board and of the AIM market, and he specialises in advising companies on their public offerings in the UK. Simon has advised on successful AIM IPOs of several Israeli companies, including, Dori Media Group Ltd, Gilat Satcom Ltd, MTI Wireless Edge Ltd, iPoint Media and AFI Development in relation to its US$1.4 billion IPO.
Simon has acted for clients such as AFI Developments, Netafim, Tate & Lyle and FIBI as well as for start-ups and investors in the technology, life sciences and renewable energy fields.
Simon has a bachelor degree in law (LLB) from the University of Manchester and he completed the legal practice course in London, receiving a distinction in his law society final exam.
Simon is also a practising solicitor in England and Wales.
